This is a group for photos that depict "pieces" of something bigger. I would like to see photos that show not a whole "subject" but the smaller parts of that subject that make it work.

What is a boat without a rudder? What is a flower without the stamen? What is a clock without a hand or a digital number? What is a baby without those cute little fingers or toes? What is a chain without it's links?

Many of us get too busy in our daily lives to notice these little things that make our worlds go round. I love to look at the smaller things and I wonder what makes something exist or work the way that it does.

It would be fun to post shots without disclosing what the subject actually is. Then maybe we could all guess what it is. Have fun and use your imagination.
